At Park Road Academy, we are proud to have registered for the Modeshift STARS Education Accreditation Scheme, a nationally recognised programme that supports schools in promoting safer, healthier and more sustainable journeys to school.

Through this initiative, we are committed to encouraging children, families and staff to make positive travel choices, including walking, cycling, scooting and using public transport wherever possible.

As part of our accreditation journey, we will review how our school community travels, develop initiatives to encourage active travel and provide opportunities for pupils to learn about road safety, environmental responsibility and the benefits of physical activity.

This work forms part of our wider commitment to sustainability, pupil wellbeing and developing responsible global citizens. By working towards Modeshift STARS accreditation, we aim to reduce traffic congestion around our school, improve air quality and empower our children to make informed choices that benefit both their health and the environment. We look forward to involving our whole school community in this exciting journey.
