We are delighted to announce that Park Road Academy has registered its interest with Police Sergeant, Tim Ansell from Trafford Neighbourhood Prevention Hub, to participate in the next round of the Greater Manchester Police Mini Police Scheme. This exciting initiative, delivered by local neighbourhood policing teams, provides primary school children aged 8–10 with opportunities to develop positive relationships with police officers through practical activities, educational experiences and community engagement.

The programme aims to build trust and confidence in policing, break down barriers between young people and the police, and encourage children to become responsible, active members of their communities. Sergeant Ansell is already involved in delivering the scheme within Trafford, helping children develop new skills and participate in meaningful experiences. At Park Road Academy, we believe that developing children's understanding of community safety, citizenship, responsibility and public service is an essential part of our wider personal development and enrichment offer. We hope that participation in this initiative will provide another valuable opportunity for our pupils to develop confidence, leadership skills and an understanding of how they can make a positive difference in their local community.
