Enrichment for All
At Park Road Academy, we passionately believe that no child should ever be excluded from an enrichment experience because of their individual needs, circumstances or financial barriers.
Enrichment is not an added extra; it is an essential part of every child's education, helping to broaden horizons, raise aspirations, develop confidence and ignite new interests and talents.
We are committed to ensuring that all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), disadvantaged pupils and those facing additional challenges, have equitable access to the full range of opportunities we offer. We carefully consider individual needs, make reasonable adjustments and provide personalised support so that every child can participate, belong and thrive.
We fully fund enrichment places and experiences for children in receipt of Pupil Premium funding, and we extend this financial support to any family who shares that they are experiencing financial difficulties. We encourage families to speak to us confidentially so that we can remove barriers to participation.
We believe that a child's circumstances should never determine the opportunities available to them. Every child deserves the chance to discover something new, experience something extraordinary and realise their potential.
At Park Road Academy, we are incredibly proud to be the first primary school to implement Attendeez, an innovative digital platform designed to track, monitor and evaluate children's participation in enrichment opportunities.
We believe that providing exceptional experiences is only part of our responsibility; we must also ensure that every child is accessing, benefiting from and enjoying these opportunities. Through Attendeez, we can build an individual enrichment profile for every pupil, capturing their experiences across educational visits, clubs, sporting activities, cultural events, outdoor learning, wider life skills and much more.
The platform enables us to monitor participation against the Department for Education's enrichment categories, identify patterns of engagement and, importantly, recognise children or groups who may be missing out, including disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND. This allows us to respond proactively, remove barriers and provide targeted opportunities so that our enrichment offer remains genuinely inclusive. By analysing participation across the school, we can also evaluate the breadth and balance of our provision and make informed decisions about future experiences.
Our ambition is not simply to offer an exceptional enrichment programme, but to ensure that every child leaves Park Road Academy with a rich, diverse and meaningful collection of experiences that have broadened their horizons, developed their talents and raised their aspirations.
