Lates

The Importance of Being on Time
At Park Road Academy, we believe that every minute of learning matters. Arriving at school on time helps children feel calm, confident and ready to learn, whilst ensuring they do not miss important learning opportunities or the chance to settle into their daily routines alongside their friends.
All children from Reception to Year 6 must be in school by 8:45am. To support a positive start to the day, we offer a soft start from 8:30am, providing a 15-minute window for children to arrive, settle into their classrooms and prepare for learning before registration. We strongly encourage families to make the most of this opportunity.
If your child is going to arrive late due to a medical appointment, please inform the school office in advance via absence@parkroadacademy.co.uk. Any child arriving after 8:45am must be signed in at the school office to ensure our attendance records are accurate and safeguarding procedures are followed.
Please be aware that children arriving after the registration period has closed will be recorded as absent for that morning session, in accordance with attendance regulations. Regular lateness can quickly add up to significant lost learning time, so we ask all families to work in partnership with us to ensure every child is in school, on time and ready to make the most of their day.
