Year 3 have been developing their sewing and textile skills through our unit on cushions. The children explored different cushion designs before designing their own, carefully considering shape, colour, pattern and decoration.

They then practised key skills such as threading a needle, using a running stitch and joining pieces of fabric together. It was wonderful to see the children working with such care and perseverance as they created their finished cushions.

A fantastic hands-on project that helped the children develop creativity, resilience and practical design skills!
