In Year 6, we have been learning about symbolism in art and how artists use images to convey deeper meanings. Using this knowledge, we have created our own artwork portraying an important message, thinking carefully about the symbols and colours we chose to represent our ideas. Throughout this unit, we have developed key artistic skills, including sketching, composition, colour theory, and shading techniques, as well as the ability to interpret and discuss the meaning behind artwork. Our final pieces are not only visually striking but also thought-provoking, reflecting the powerful messages we wanted to share.
