In Music, Year 4 have been learning about motifs and how the Romans used repeating musical patterns to help pass the time whilst building roads and carrying out daily jobs. The children explored simple rhythmic and melodic patterns before creating their own repeating motifs on the glockenspiel.

Once they had practised and performed their pieces, the class carefully wrote up their own musical notation, helping them develop both their performance and composition skills.
