Year 1 have been exploring different types of lines. We started by identifying the many kinds of lines we can see in drawings – straight, wavy, zig-zag, curved and more. Using music as our stimulus, we practised drawing lines that reflected what we could hear, changing the pressure and control of our marks to match the rhythm, speed and mood. We also experimented with a range of different materials to create our lines, discovering how each one produces different effects.
