Year 3 have been inspired by The Iron Man by Ted Hughes. We have written our own ‘approaching threat’ narratives, building suspense and atmosphere to hook the reader. We also designed and explained imaginative traps to try and capture the Iron Man, developing our explanation writing skills. The children have loved using this powerful text to spark their creativity and bring their writing to life.
