In Year 6, we have been learning about electricity in Science as part of our big question, 'Could robots replace humans?' This has involved exploring how circuits work, creating our own circuits, and developing our understanding of key scientific terminology such as conductors, insulators, voltage, and resistance. Throughout this unit, we have built important skills, including problem-solving, predicting and testing hypotheses, working systematically with electrical components, and evaluating our results. This hands-on learning has helped us understand the role of electricity in technology, bringing us one step closer to answering our big question!
