In Year 4, our children have been exploring the world of music through the creation of musical motifs using glockenspiels. Inspired by the sounds of ancient Rome, each child crafted their own individual motif, carefully selecting notes and rhythms to evoke the essence of a Roman song. This project not only allowed our class to experiment with melody and harmony but also to express their creativity and musical understanding. Building on their individual successes, the children then collaborated in groups to develop more advanced motifs, blending their ideas and talents to create intricate and harmonious pieces.
