Designing and Building Pavilions in DT

This term in Design and Technology, the children have begun an exciting project focused on designing and building pavilions. In the initial lessons, the children explored what a pavilion is, its various purposes, and how these structures are constructed in real life. They examined examples of pavilions from around the world, discussing the different features and designs. The class has also started creating prototype models using cocktail sticks and plasticine, experimenting with different ways to build strong and stable structures. It’s been a great start, and the children are looking forward to developing their designs further as the project progresses.
