Our Trustees'
Meet the Team
Mr S Mortimer
Parent Governor
I joined PRAPS governing body as Parent Governor in 2025. I grew up locally and have lived in Timperley/Altrincham for the majority of my life. Now having our own children, the quality of education was a large reason for remaining in the area. Our daughter attended the PRAPS nursery, and we were extremely impressed. We are fortunate that she has been able to continue at the school, starting Year 1 in 2025.
My positive experience of the school led to my interest in joining the governing body and being part of the process that maintains and promotes the high standards that we have seen as a family thus far. I am looking forward to our youngest attending in future and experiencing the same sense of community and ambition.
While I do not directly have a background in education, as a family we have a keen interest in education and supporting our children. Trafford Council employs my wife to support deaf and hearing-impaired children in local schools.
In my day job as an IT solution architect, I regularly assess options and make challenging decisions with consideration to budgets. This involves rapidly increasing my knowledge in new areas (both technical and business), working within a team to build solutions that meet requirements. I hope to use my expertise on the committees for Art & Design, Design Technology and Careers.
My spare time is mostly dedicated to spending time with my family either at home or on local trips out with our kids!
