Year 3 & 4 Win the Girls Sale Spring Cup
A huge congratulations to our Year 3 & 4 girls' football team who were crowned Spring Festival Cup Champions on Thursday 4th April! The girls were phenomenal throughout the tournament, showing incredible teamwork, determination, and skill in every match.
They began the day with a confident 1-0 win in a friendly against Park Road Sale A, and carried that momentum into the group stage, recording brilliant wins against Brooklands A (3-1), Park Road Sale B (6-0), Woodheys (5-0), and St Joseph’s (3-0). Their attacking play was relentless, and their defensive organisation stood strong all tournament.
In the semi-finals, they once again faced Park Road Sale A and sealed their place in the final with a commanding 2-0 victory. The final saw them go head-to-head with a determined St Vincent’s side, but our girls held their nerve and came away with a 2-1 win to lift the trophy.
An amazing achievement from an incredibly talented team – well done to all the girls involved!
Park Road Year 3 & 4 Show Great Spirit at the Boys Sale Spring Cup
On Friday 25th April, the Park Road Year 3 & 4 boys’ football team took part in the Sale Spring Cup, facing some strong competition throughout the afternoon.
The team got off to a tough start with defeats to Brooklands A and Heyes Lane but showed brilliant resilience and improvement as the tournament progressed. In the following matches, Park Road produced two excellent performances, drawing 0-0 with St Vincent’s B and later securing a 1-0 victory over Woodheys thanks to a superb half-volleyed finish.
In the friendly fixture that followed, Park Road continued their good form, drawing 1-1 with Brooklands B in a match they arguably deserved to win with their dominant play.
The team displayed great determination, teamwork, and skill across all their games — well done to all involved!
