Friendly Football Tournament – 24th October 2025
The Park Road girls rounded off a busy half-term of football with a strong showing at the Friendly Tournament on Friday 24th October. Despite facing tough opposition throughout the day, the team continued to show their determination, teamwork and resilience.
The tournament began with a tense 0-0 draw against Heyes Lane, with what could only be described as the save of the season — a fantastic double stop that kept the scores level and lifted the whole team.
In the second match, Park Road took the lead through a well-worked move and a confident finish, but were narrowly beaten 2-1 by St Vincent’s after a late rally from the opposition. The next two fixtures against Brooklands and Springfield saw the team put in strong defensive efforts but just fall short in front of goal.
Determined to finish on a high, the girls produced an excellent final performance against Heyes Lane’s second team. A composed finish sealed a 1-0 victory and a deserved positive ending to the tournament.
It was another great experience for the team — full of learning moments, brilliant saves, and plenty of effort and spirit from start to finish.

Altrincham FC Winter Tournament – 17th October 2025
The Park Road girls once again demonstrated their fantastic teamwork, skill, and determination at the Altrincham FC Winter Tournament. It was another excellent showing from the team, who played some brilliant football throughout the day and made it all the way to the semi-finals.
After a narrow opening defeat to Heyes Lane, the team bounced back superbly with two dominant 3-0 wins over Broadheath and Stamford Park. The girls were full of energy, confidence, and creativity — scoring some superb goals and showing real composure at the back to keep consecutive clean sheets.
In the quarter-final against St Vincent’s, Park Road battled hard in a thrilling 1-1 draw that went all the way to a penalty shootout. The girls held their nerve and showed brilliant composure from the spot to secure their place in the final four.
The semi-final saw Park Road face Altrincham CofE in a tight, hard-fought contest. Despite the narrow 1-0 defeat, Park Road were arguably the better side for much of the match, creating several good chances and continuing to play with the same determination and positivity that has defined their season so far.
It was a superb day of football from the team — full of effort, teamwork, and a fantastic attitude throughout. A brilliant semi-final finish and plenty to be proud of!

The team showed real character from start to finish, beginning the afternoon with a battling 1-1 draw against Cloverlea, rescued by a coolly taken penalty late in the game after a handball in the box. Despite a narrow defeat in the second match against Oldfield Brow, the girls never let their heads drop and came back even stronger after the break.
Their resilience was on full display in the third game against Hale Prep, where they once again earned a dramatic 1-1 draw, this time thanks to another well-taken penalty that rewarded their persistence and pressure right to the final whistle.
The final game saw Park Road finish on a high, claiming a brilliant 1-0 win over Willows, with the Park Road striker scoring the decisive goal after some superb build-up play from the team.
Across all four matches, the girls showed incredible teamwork, determination, and a true ‘never say die’ attitude, proving once again how much spirit and pride they bring to every game they play.

Altrincham FC Winter Tournament – Friday 10th October 2025
The boys represented Park Road brilliantly once again in the Altrincham FC Winter Tournament, showing great resilience and teamwork throughout a challenging set of fixtures.
After a tough start against some strong opposition, including Stamford Park and Willows, the team gradually found their rhythm and began to link play together with more confidence. Their determination paid off in the fourth group match, where they produced their best performance of the group stage — a well-earned 1-1 draw against Cloverlea.
That result saw the team progress to the quarter-finals, where they came up against a talented St Vincent’s side. Despite a much-improved display and moments of sharp attacking play, Park Road were eventually beaten 2-0, but they could hold their heads high after finishing the day strongly.
It was great to see the boys’ teamwork, spirit, and effort shine through as they continue to develop and improve with each game.

Boys’ Football League – Second Round of Fixtures (07.10.25)
The Park Road team showed great progress in their second set of league fixtures this week, putting in a series of strong and much-improved performances.
The opening game saw Park Road draw 0-0 with Cloverlea, a match in which the team looked confident and composed throughout. They created several clear chances and were unlucky not to find the breakthrough after some excellent attacking play and solid defensive work.
In the second fixture against Hale Prep, Park Road faced a tough test against one of the stronger teams in the league. Hale Prep had more of the ball, but Park Road stayed well-organised and disciplined defensively. Despite being under pressure for long spells, the boys nearly snatched victory late on with a lightning-fast counter-attack that almost found the net.
The final game, against Well Green, saw Park Road’s energy levels start to fade after two hard-fought matches. Despite their continued effort and determination, they fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat.
Overall, this was a much-improved showing from the team — with great resilience, teamwork, and a clear step up in performance from the opening round. The boys should be proud of their efforts and can take real confidence into the next set of league fixtures!

The final game of the day saw them take on Willows, one of the strongest sides in the competition. Park Road battled superbly throughout, defended resolutely, and came close on several occasions, but the match finished goalless.
Overall, it was an outstanding start to the season – undefeated across all four games and yet to concede a single goal. A brilliant platform for the girls to build on as they continue their league campaign!

Boys’ Football League – First Fixtures of the Season (23.09.25)
The Park Road team kicked off their league campaign with a tough set of fixtures against some very strong opposition. The team worked tirelessly across all four matches, showing real determination and team spirit, even when results didn’t quite go their way.
The afternoon began with a 2-0 defeat to Oldfield Brow, where Park Road were unlucky not to get on the scoresheet after creating a couple of good chances. A second match against Elmridge also ended 2-0, but the team showed improvements in their organisation and passing.
The third game proved the hardest test of the day against last year’s champions, Willows, who demonstrated why they are one of the strongest sides in the league, with Park Road falling to a 7-0 defeat. Despite this, the side never let their heads drop and kept working hard until the final whistle.
The final match was a much closer affair against Forest Prep, ending in a narrow 1-0 loss, but again the team were competitive throughout and could have easily earned a result.
While the results weren’t what we had hoped for, the players should be proud of their effort, resilience, and commitment to the team. These opening fixtures were always going to be challenging, but the experience gained will only make the team stronger as the season progresses. Plenty of positives to build on!
