National Recognition for Anti-Bullying Excellence

We were incredibly privileged to be invited to the House of Lords at the Houses of Parliament in London during Anti-Bullying Week 2023, where our commitment to tackling bullying and creating a safe, inclusive and supportive school community received national recognition. We were exceptionally proud that Mrs Taylor, our Deputy Headteacher and Anti-Bullying Champion, was named England's Primary School Winner of the Anti-Bullying Alliance School Staff Award 2023.

This prestigious national award celebrates exceptional members of school staff who go above and beyond to prevent bullying, support children and promote kindness, respect and positive relationships. What makes this award particularly special is that staff are nominated by pupils, with the winners selected by a panel of children and young people, ensuring that children's voices are at the heart of the recognition. Mrs Taylor's achievement was officially announced by the Minister for Children and Families at a special parliamentary event at the House of Lords.

The Anti-Bullying Alliance, part of the National Children's Bureau, is a national coalition dedicated to preventing bullying and creating safer environments for children and young people. This recognition is a tremendous honour for Mrs Taylor and the whole Park Road Academy community, reflecting our unwavering commitment to ensuring every child feels safe, heard, valued and empowered to stand up against bullying.
