Safeguarding
At Park Road Academy primary school, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are fully committed to ensuring that all pupils feel safe, secure, and well supported at all times. Our school maintains a strong culture of vigilance, where safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and concerns are acted upon swiftly and effectively.
All staff receive regular, up-to-date training and have a secure understanding of safeguarding procedures, including the identification of risk, early help, and the reporting of concerns. Leaders ensure that safeguarding arrangements are robust, well-recorded, and consistently applied, with clear systems in place to protect pupils from harm.
We work closely with families and external agencies to provide timely support and intervention where needed. Pupils are taught how to keep themselves safe, including online, and are encouraged to speak openly with trusted adults. They report that they feel safe in school and know that staff will listen and take their concerns seriously.
Our safeguarding practices are regularly reviewed and strengthened to reflect current guidance and best practice. Through our proactive and highly effective approach, we ensure that safeguarding is not only compliant, but a strength of our school.
