Trafford Leadership Festival – Cloverlea Primary School (07.05.26)
On Thursday 7th May, a group of our Year 5 children attended the Trafford Leadership Festival at Cloverlea Primary School as part of their ongoing Sports Leadership qualification.
During the event, the Year 5 leaders were responsible for planning, organising, and delivering activities to multiple groups of Year 2 pupils from schools across the local area. The children showed fantastic leadership skills throughout the day, demonstrating confidence, communication, teamwork, encouragement, and responsibility while leading their sessions.
The Park Road Year 2 group thoroughly enjoyed the experience, taking part in a wide range of fun and engaging activities delivered both by our own leaders and by sports leaders from other schools attending the festival. The event created a brilliant atmosphere full of energy, teamwork, and positivity.
It was wonderful to see our Year 5 children representing Park Road so well while successfully completing another important part of their Sports Leadership qualification. Well done to everyone involved for a fantastic day!

Confidence continued to grow in the next fixture, with another strong performance leading to a 1–0 victory against Brooklands. The team showed excellent organisation and composure, securing back-to-back wins and putting themselves firmly in contention for progression.
