British Science Week 2023 - Connections

The theme of this years British Science Week was connections. Therefore, we focused on the links between Science and other areas of the curriculum as well as the link between school and home. The children all had the opportunity to complete a scientific activity, identify the links between this activity and the rest of the curriculum and use the activity booklets sent home to complete their own scientific enquiries at home! Children have even had the opportunity to earn CREST awards that are used in secondary schools across the UK providing another connection between primary and secondary school!

British Science Week 2022 - Growth

The theme of this year's science week was 'Growth'. Therefore, our goal at Park Road was to grow the children's awareness and love of science. The children were exposed to a range of scientific activities that developed a range of skills, learning some new scientific vocabulary and developing their experience when working scientifically. As you can see from the smiles on the children's faces it was a thoroughly enjoyable week that definitely promoted a love of science!
