Illness and Self-isolation

How long should I self-isolate?

Self-isolating means staying at home and not leaving it.

People who have symptoms of coronavirus should arrange a test. While waiting for the results, you should remain at home. If the result is positive, you should isolate for 10 days. Other members of your household should isolate for 10 days and leave the home.

Symptoms include:

  • a new continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell.
