You should only be booking a test if for you or your family member have symptoms. As well as this, please note that staff and pupils who are contacts of a positive case do not need to go for a test unless they are showing symptoms.

As you may be aware from the news, the National Testing Programme is experiencing exceptionally high demand and this is causing significant issues for those trying to book a test. In addition there are a number of places in Greater Manchester  that are currently experiencing very high rates of COVID which is adding to the demand. Unfortunately as we are part of the national system this is out of our control, but we are liaising with the national team very regularly and we will of course send you further updates. We know that this is incredibly frustrating for those trying to book a test at the moment.

In the meantime we would ask anyone who tries to book a test and is unable to do so, or who is offered a location or time which is not convenient, to please wait a few hours and then try again.

If staff and pupils are symptomatic please ensure that they continue to self-isolate whilst waiting for an appointment.
